About Fibre-Fiber and Weight-Loss

Fibre (Canadian) or Fiber (American) has been a critical component to my own weigh loss and weigh maintenance. I learned about it slowly and built my high fibre lifestyle up one step at at time.

This is what I learned:

A diet with the proper amount of fibre leads to intestinal and digestive health and this lowers body weight, decreases the risk of colon and other cancers and boosts mood and general

  1. Hi Kit, I dropped in to have a look at your blog. Very interesting! I’ve never been a yo-yo dieter, but I have been a life-long weight watcher (although not a member of that organization.) Eating foods that maintain a consistent blood glucose level has been key for me – and fibre is an important part of that. My father was diabetic, and I don’t want to follow in his footsteps, so I eat whole foods and avoid refined sugars.

      Glad to see you here. Your lifestyle habits sound great, and I am sure that will affect your ability to keep diabetes at bay. We have quite a lot of power to control the onset of that disease with diet, exercise and lifestyle. Isn’t that great news?
